Always Into Something

Jude's new "thing" lately is climbing into, and sitting in things. He likes to empty out random things just so he can sit in them. His favorites are our laundry baskets and the baskets on our entertainment unit shelves. 

 

Jude has also been sick this last week. Luckily, on Monday Nana had the day off so Jude got to spend a special day with Nana. 

How Tall This Fall?

I'm a total fail at updating this blog. It is my goal to start doing better and to even go back and add pictures from the last few months. I really want to be able to use this as a digital scrapbook for Jude.

Fall around here means visiting our local apple orchard / pumpkin patch A LOT! I thought I would share pictures of Jude from this fall compared to last fall. I hope we can get pictures of him in front of this sign for years to come!

Good Morning

I love going to get Jude out of his crib in the morning. Most mornings we have to wake him up since I have to leave the house for work by 6:30 a.m. But some mornings he gets to sleep in. When we hear him wake up, we go to his room and he is always standing in his crib with his big eyes staring up at us. I just love his "morning, just woke up" look!

Jude's 1st Birthday Party

Instead of slaving for hours to get my house absolutely spotless to have a bunch of people over to just make a mess again... my mother-in-law suggested we have Jude's 1st Birthday party elsewhere. Genius! So we rented out a very nice place at Lake of the Woods here in Mahomet. It worked out perfectly! We had mostly family come down, and everyone had a wonderful time despite the 50 degree rainy weather!

I decided on an elephant theme for Jude's 1st birthday. It was so much fun to come up with fun decorations and Jude's Nana even found him a cute elephant outfit!

 Cake time! Jude tried to pick it up like this first. Everyone laughed out loud, so he set it down like he was doing something wrong...

 So then he tried to eat it this way... keeping his eyes on everyone watching him.

 Some relatives that heard it was an elephant theme dressed appropriately! How fun! Jude was scared of their elephant noses though.

Jude Turns Old Year Old!

One year ago on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at 4:58 p.m. weighing 7 lbs 6 oz and 20.5 inches long, Jude Patrick McWilliams was born. We were blessed with the most perfect baby boy any parents could ever ask for.

Don't you just love his baby mohawk!

I can't believe my baby is one year old already. It literally feels like it was just last night that I was sitting in the hospital being induced. We are so blessed to have such a happy, healthy little boy. Happy Birthday Jude! Mommy and Daddy love you!

Happy Easter!

If you notice, Jude is holding his one leg off the grass. He doesn't like the feel of the grass. The whole time we had him sitting there for pictures he sat there like this!! Silly boy!

Jude is 10 months old today! WOW!! He's really on the move now. He's a champion crawler and he's been pulling himself up on anything he can, and he likes to walk along the couches. He's going to be walking before we know it!

Jude - 9 Months Old

Jude is 9 months old today! Where does the time go? He is growing so fast lately and reaching a lot of new milestones. He started crawling this week. He has been army crawling for over a month now, but he finally figured out crawling on his hands and knees. He is also starting to pull up on things, so he'll be walking before we know it! Mommy is definitely not ready for that! He loves to clap, play patty cake, and our favorite... give kisses! There's nothing like slobbery, goober-y Jude kisses to make your day!
